At the end of January, Restaurant Week highlights the best of Nashville’s independent casual eateries and fine dining restaurants at special prices so that everyone can get a little taste of everything. Nashville Originals, a group of locally owned restaurants, hosts the annual event that that supports the area’s growing culinary community and local charities. 2. Beautify your home with antiques and landscapes in February

Imagine your home and garden at their best – then bring them to life during a visit to the annual Antiques and Garden Show of Nashville, featuring expert speakers, unique antiques and fantasy garden landscapes unlike any others. The public event has been going on for three decades and features hundreds of vendors so you can create a little magic back home. You don’t have to have a green thumb to attend – but you might learn how to get one while you’re there!

3. Celebrate the best of country music in June

Every June, Nashville’s population explodes with country music fans for the CMT Music Awards and CMA Fest. Whether you attend one day or go all-in for the four-day event, you’re sure to be treated to performances by some of country music’s most famous celebrities – and some of the soon-to-be stars. More than 400 artists performed during the 2019 festival. Of course, you don’t need to be there in June to enjoy the city’s thriving music scene. Head to Music Row just southwest of downtown to visit the the Country Music Hall of Fame. Or walk outside on any sidewalk to hear talented street musicians playing their hearts out looking for their big break.

4. Create holiday magic in December

Already dreaming of next year’s holiday celebrations full of tinsel and champagne toasts? Y’all can ring, strum, sing or strut your way into New Year’s Eve at a party so big that it’s one of those shown live on CNN every year. The 2019 Jack Daniels Music City Midnight New Year’s Eve in Nashville celebration drew more than 200,000 people to Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park for the free concert and fireworks starring Keith Urban, Jason Isbell and more.

5. Family time

The only thing better than attending these events together would be if everyone could lodge together.
